Our History

Umai Café, an enterprise owned by a mother-son partnership has been in restaurant business since 2004. Through various tribulations, the duo is currently managing the famous and well recognized Umai Café Restaurant at Putrajaya, a 40-seat dining restaurant that focuses on Eastern (Malay & Thai) & Western fusion fare.

With nearly 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry, Umai Café has always managed to offer moderately priced family style food, with excellent service and relaxing quaint environment. Dedicated to ensure that the restaurant is run efficiently and hygienically, Umai Café has embarked on a journey of transformation and achieved the BeSS certification from Ministry of Health(MOH) in 2021.

Application have been made to upgrade the enterprise to a limited liability company or a “SDN BHD”. All Umai Café Outlets shall be operated and managed by the newly established, Umai Café (M) Sdn. Bhd., which is the transformation from Umai Café, the enterprise entity.
